What is Resveratrol for Dogs & How Can It Benefit My Pet?

Resveratrol for Dogs is a research-backed natural supplement with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Resveratrol for Dogs offers various health benefits, such as improving heart health, possessing anti-cancer properties, supporting senior dogs' vitality and brain health, aiding joint health, and maintaining kidney function.

Ask Ariel's Resveratrol for Dogs is sourced from Japanese knotweed and contains high concentrations of trans-resveratrol, the active form of the compound most useful to the body. Quercetin and lecithin are added to promote nutrient absorption.

Dakota

"Dakota had two extensive surgeries as a pup to remove tumors from her salivary glands. Since then, she has always been quite healthy, but we recently added Resveratrol For Dogs to give her a little antioxidant support as she ages. The capsules have been easy to give to her with dinner. Dakota is almost 15 now and she has the energy of a pup. Thank you Ask Ariel!" - Laura, California

Resveratrol for Dogs Can Benefit:

Resveratrol can help to strengthen the heart muscle and support cardiovascular health in dogs. Research [1] shows that Resveratrol provides cardioprotective benefits by reducing inflammation in the heart and cardiovascular system and by improving endothelial function. Helpful for dogs with heart disease problems including heart murmurs, high blood pressure (hypertension), poor valve function or congestive heart failure. Use to support dogs breeds that are more prone to developing heart conditions. These breeds include Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Dachshunds, Poodles, Doberman Pinscher, Boxer, Schnauzers, and Great Danes.

Resveratrol is being researched for its potential to inhibit the growth and spread of cancer cells in dogs. Resveratrol interferes with the process of carcinogenesis, where normal cells are transformed into cancer cells. It also affects gene and hormone expression, slowing down the replication and spread of cancer cells. A study [2] on the anticancer effects of resveratrol showed that it may be useful as an adjunct therapy in canine hemangiosarcoma patients. While it's not a cancer cure, it can be used as part of a comprehensive cancer protection and support plan.

Resveratrol can cross the blood-brain barrier, making it beneficial for brain health in dogs. It may help reduce plaque buildup associated with cognitive dysfunction in older dogs [3], potentially improving memory and cognitive function. Can also improve alertness and increase energy, helping owners of older dogs to bring back the “puppy in their pet”.

Resveratrol has anti-inflammatory properties and may help protect cartilage from breaking down [4]. Cartilage is the connective tissue that helps joints move without grinding or friction. Resveratrol can be especially beneficial for dogs with arthritis or joint pain, as it can reduce inflammation, relieve discomfort and may help reduce the need for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Resveratrol can be combined with our other joint support supplements for comprehensive arthritis and joint support.

ArthroSoothe for Pets contains resveratrol in combination with 14 other ingredients scientifically proven to promote joint repair, increase mobility and reduce joint degeneration.

Ultra-Flex Collagen is a natural whole-food supplement that builds cartilage, joint and connective tissue. Around 80% of your pet’s muscles, tendons, and ligaments are made up of collagen and it is crucial in keeping these connective tissues flexible.

Bleu

"We added Resveratrol for Dogs to Bleu's regimen and have noticed a remarkable difference. He is nearly 9 years old and had been really slowing down. By using the Resveratrol for Dogs along with Purrfect Pet CoQ10, Bleu is now running and playing with much younger dogs at the Doggie Fun Zone. It has been a big improvement." - Davis Family, California

  • Dogs With Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)
Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) in dogs is a condition where the cushioning “shock absorber” discs between the vertebrae in the spinal column either rupture or degenerate. This can cause pain, loss of limb function (partial or complete) and paralysis. Degenerative IVDD is a slow, progressive condition that can lead to spinal cord compression accompanied by pain and a loss of mobility usually in older, large breed dogs. Studies [5] have shown that resveratrol shows considerable potential for the repair and regeneration of intervertebral discs.

Research [6] suggests that resveratrol may have renoprotective effects, helping to reduce fibrosis, prevent diabetic nephropathy, and reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the kidneys. It can help preserve kidney structure and function in dogs with compromised kidney function.

Resveratrol may be useful in preventing diabetic kidney damage [7]. Diabetic pets accumulate excess sugar in the blood and the kidneys can become overworked while filtering out the sugar. Diabetes is one of the leading causes of kidney disease and decreased kidney function in pets.

Lyme disease is characterized by systemic, chronic inflammation. Resveratrol can help to increase blood flow into areas where the Borrelia bugdorferi bacteria can hide making this one of the best supplements for treating Lyme disease in dogs. Researchers [8] tested the effectiveness of 14 plant-based extracts in the treatment of Lyme Disease. Japanese knotweed, which is safe for dogs, was one of the top two most effective in killing off the Lyme bacteria.

Puff Daddy

"We had some good news about Puff Daddy on Friday! Ever since Puff Daddy was a pup (he is a 7 ½ yr old Chinese Crested Powder Puff now) different vets would say they heard a mild heart murmur (about 2-3 out of scale of 0-6). About two years ago, we started a heart disease protocol that included Amazing Omegas, Purrfect Pet CoQ10 and Resveratrol for Dogs. This month (January) we went in for Puff Daddy’s rabies vaccination and the vet listened to his heart for quite some time. She looked up amazed. She heard no murmur. She asked me what I was giving him and said to keep it up. Puff Daddy has the energy of a puppy, running at full-speed with dogs 3-4x his size. I am so grateful for Ask Ariel." - Andrea, Washington, D.C.

Resveratrol & Quercetin: A Dynamic Duo

Resveratrol for Dogs is an exceptional combination of two powerful antioxidants: resveratrol and quercetin. When used together, they have synergistic effects, enhancing each other's benefits. Resveratrol and quercetin are both are potent antioxidants that can provide stronger protection against oxidative stress, inflammation, and various health issues. This combination has shown promising results in research, particularly in terms of cancer prevention and support. Additionally, quercetin can enhance the absorption of resveratrol, making it even more effective when taken together.

Ask Ariel's Resveratrol for Dogs is sourced from Japanese knotweed and contains high concentrations of trans-resveratrol, the active form of the compound most useful to the body. Lecithin has been added to this resveratrol and quercetin supplement to enhance its absorption and bioavailability, ensuring that your dog receives the maximum benefits from these powerful antioxidants.

Willow

"Willow had her follow-up scan and bloodwork today...4 months after surgery and diagnosis. I'm so overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. I couldn't wait to email you. Her ALT level is normal! Her ALKP is barely elevated. Most importantly...the growth that was on the underside of the liver that was inoperable, is gone!!!!! They did multiple scans in all different ways to find the tumor and it's not there. They looked at everything on her and nothing. Everything is perfectly normal and healthy and the doctors said that if they didn't know the history they would have questioned why they were even examining her. She acts like a puppy and is so happy and energetic we almost can't believe it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are an absolute angel from God." - Wilcox Family, Arizona
